Job Responsibilities
Description:The Director, Marketing, Brand & Creative Services is responsible for advancing the enterprise’s reputation, strategic positioning and brand differentiation through integrated marketing, audience engagement and modern storytelling. This leader will shape integrated campaigns, narratives and audience experiences that strengthen enterprise reputation, reinforce innovation leadership and support strategic business priorities. This leader will help shape how the company is understood across key stakeholder audiences – reinforcing trust, mission impact and technology leadership across domestic and global markets.
Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Communications & Branding, this role oversees enterprise marketing, branding and creative services functions—leading the development of compelling campaigns, modern content strategies and high-impact visual storytelling across channels and audiences.
Translate enterprise strategy into differentiated narratives, campaigns and audience experiences that strengthen trust, reputation and market leadership.
The ideal candidate is equal parts enterprise strategist, reputation steward, creative leader and operational architect—capable of translating complex business priorities into clear, differentiated narratives and measurable communications outcomes.
Enterprise Strategic Leader
•Proven experience leading enterprise-wide marketing, brand and strategic communications initiatives within large, complex and highly matrixed organizations, with the ability to align storytelling, audience engagement and reputation strategies to broader business priorities
Global Mindset & Stakeholder Fluency
•Demonstrated success developing global, integrated campaigns and positioning strategies across domestic and international markets, including experience navigating geopolitical sensitivities, customer engagement, government affairs alignment and culturally nuanced communications environments
Modern Marketing & Reputation Expertise
•Deep understanding of integrated audience engagement strategies across paid, earned, shared and owned channels, with strong expertise in digital ecosystems, modern media environments, data-driven storytelling and AI-enabled engagement
Executive Presence & Cross-Functional Influence
•Strong executive advisory capability with experience partnering directly with senior leaders, business development, communications, government affairs and enterprise functions to shape narratives, influence decision-making and drive alignment across high-visibility initiatives
Transformational People & Creative Leader
•Proven ability to lead high-performing marketing, brand and creative teams while driving innovation, operational excellence and modernization across creative services, content operations and enterprise storytelling capabilities
Agency & Operational Leadership:
• Proven experience leading and managing internal and external agency partners, creative vendors and cross-functional teams with strong oversight of strategic planning, budget management and performance accountability
Key Skills & Leadership Attributes
• Strategic thinker with deep expertise in branding, integrated marketing and audience engagement
• Strong understanding of integrated audience engagement strategies, digital ecosystems, content operations and modern media environments
• Proven ability to lead enterprise-level campaigns and creative initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations
• Exceptional narrative development, storytelling, and executive communications capabilities
• Experience leveraging emerging technologies and AI-enabled tools to modernize audience engagement and storytelling approaches
• Analytics-driven mindset with ability to translate insights into actionable strategies

Travel Required. Preferred location is Bethesda, MD or must be able to work from a major LM facility.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or related field
• Experience leading integrated marketing or communications campaigns across multiple channels
• Experience managing agency relationships and creative development processes
• Proven ability to advise and influence senior leaders
• Strong organizational and project management capabilities with ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Desired Skills:
• Experience leveraging analytics and audience insights to inform campaign strategy and optimization
• Strong understanding of evolving digital and social media landscapes
• Experience leading enterprise reputation, brand positioning or audience engagement initiatives across complex organizations

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $195,000 - $322,000. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
