Description:What We're Doing

At Lockheed Martin, we are committed to confronting some of the world’s most complex challenges by developing innovative technologies that protect and empower our armed forces. Our teams are pioneering advancements in Electronic Warfare (EW) — delivering integrated, agile, and data-informed solutions to maintain dominance across the electromagnetic spectrum. We aim to improve situational awareness, disrupt adversary capabilities, and enable mission success in increasingly contested environments.

The Work

Lockheed Martin is seeking a forward-thinking Operations Research Analyst to join our Operations Analysis (OA) team within the Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) business area. In this role, you will support the analysis, modeling, and simulation of Electronic Warfare systems and scenarios that influence how future military operations are planned and executed.

As a part of our OA team, you will:

Apply operations research methodologies to assess the effectiveness of EW systems across complex mission environments.

Design, develop, and refine tools and simulations that represent electromagnetic spectrum operations and system performance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify performance gaps, evaluate alternatives, and recommend optimized solutions.

Support capability assessments by analyzing Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs) and Measures of Performance (MOPs).

Communicate analytical insights through technical briefings, visualizations, and comprehensive reports to support leadership and customer decision-making.

Clearance Requirement: This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Travel Requirement: Up to 10% travel may be required.

We work in an environment that encourages collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning to solve some of the most pressing defense challenges.

Who You Are

You are a methodical problem solver and data-driven thinker with a deep understanding of operations research, systems modeling, and quantitative analysis. You possess a strong interest in Electronic Warfare, systems effectiveness, and military operations.

You likely have experience with:

Analytical modeling tools and scripting languages (e.g., MATLAB, Python, R).

Simulation development and data visualization techniques.

Translating operational needs into performance requirements.

Communicating complex technical content to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
