Job Responsibilities
Description:As a Senior Project Engineer on the MK7 Weapons System Infrastructure & Capabilities (WSIC) team, you will activate MK7 infrastructure projects that enable the development, production, and sustainment of the MK7 re entry body and its associated missile systems. You act as the government lead liaison, driving execution from concept through construction while protecting schedule, cost, and performance.
• Lead MK7 infrastructure projects across multiple sites, aligning work with program level schedules and objectives.
• Coordinate communication among planning, systems, design teams, government stakeholders, end users, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery.
• Apply established procedures, work plans, and risk mitigation tactics to overcome resource constraints and technical hurdles.
• Oversee key project phases and safeguarding against delays and extra resource consumption.
• Integrate missile system requirements into facility designs, evaluating impacts on cost, schedule, and performance.
• Brief senior leaders and partners on status, milestones, and challenges, presenting clear solutions to technical issues.
• Support ad hoc tasks from program technical leaders that advance MK7 capability readiness.

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Project Management, Construction Management, or facility activation on commercial, industrial, government, or military facilities.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and drive initiatives forward with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated problem solving mindset and willingness to take ownership of outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with using project schedules to track progress and manage dependencies.
Desired Skills:
• Direct experience with deployed re entry activities at the Strategic Weapon Facilities (SWFs).
• Experience planning, executing, and closing complex technical projects (budget, schedule, risk, and resource management).
• Track record coordinating discussions and aligning goals with internal teams (engineering, operations, safety, leadership) and external partners (government agencies, contractors).
• Ability to interpret facility documentation and functional flow diagrams; solid understanding of facility processes and operations.
• Proven leadership of multi disciplinary Integrated Project Teams (IPTs).
• Experience developing and executing Project Management Plans and briefing senior leadership; PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
• Familiarity with MILCON processes and CAM/Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
• Understanding of A&E design oversight, including Statements of Work, design criteria, specifications, and construction cost estimates.
• Experience with MK7 missile processing operations and related facility requirements.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Top Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
