The Work:
Provide formal organizational and intermediate level maintenance on the F-16 composite structures. The training will include designs, repairs, modifies and fabricates aircraft, metal, plastic, composite, advanced composite, and bonded structural parts and components. Inspecting structures and components and determining operational status, as well as assessing damage to aircraft structural components according to specifications and technical publications. Interprets inspection findings, and determines corrective action adequacy. Uses metalworking equipment and tools to form, cut, bend, and fasten replacement or repair parts to damaged structures and components. Fabricates, repairs, and assembles structural parts, components, and tubing, checks repairs for serviceability. Identifies, removes, and treats corrosion using mechanical and chemical procedures, applies preservative treatments and corrosion protective coatings to aircraft, missiles, and support equipment (SE). Applies aircraft paint schemes and markings to aircraft, missiles, and support equipment (SE). Posts entries and maintains maintenance and inspection records. Stores, handles, and disposes of hazardous waste and materials according to environmental standards. US citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:
The instructor shall posses at a minimum the equivalent of a USAF skill level of seven (7) with
4 years current military experience working in an F-16 structural repair backshop. Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills and be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is mandatory. All instructors shall be U.S. citizens. All personnel must have a secret clearance or the ability to obtain a secret clearance prior to employment. All necessary instructor, technical and skills certifications must be obtained prior to employment.
Desired Skills:
Experience working with foreign nationals and documented Instructor experience is highly desired and will be viewed as a positive element during employment consideration. F-16 Block 40 or higher experience preferred. Candidates with additional experience in any of the following areas are preferred; shop setup, field training detachment (FTD), technical order library maintenance, quality assurance, or modification teams. Experience in more than one of the aforementioned areas will be viewed as a positive element during employment consideration.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
