Your role
Become a leader on the IFG EO/IR Team. Work with the EO/IR Team Manager to lead a high performing team of engineers in accomplishment of design, test, and integration of F-16 and F-22 EO/IR Systems and Subsystems. You will manage, mentor and guide a team of engineers with diverse backgrounds and encourage innovation and technical leadership across the F-16 and F-22 platforms. As a leader you will foster personal growth and create work environments for your highly skilled team.
The IFG EO/IR Engineering Manager candidate will have the following responsibilities:
• Manage your team’s complex technical projects, have knowledge of test techniques at an aircraft/equipment level and practice effective project management problem resolution and risk management techniques.
• Interpretation of customer requirements, creation of system and equipment level requirements, and development of statements of work, implementation, test, integration, and closure.
• Coordination with multiple stakeholders including suppliers, various Lockheed Martin groups and customers to develop effective proposals.
• Allocation of direct report work assignments by leveraging their skills and long-term goals.
• Follow Lockheed Martin’s Performance review process by setting clear expectations, providing/receiving focused feedback, performing salary discussions and encouraging recognition.
• Actively support recruiting events to attract highly skilled workforce and develop employee development plans leveraging Lockheed Martin’s wide training programs.
• Understand Earned Value principals to monitor and track throughout project/contract lifecycles.
• Develop integrated staffing forecasting requirements that support multiple projects.
Basic Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in STEM discipline
A technical background in EO/IR engineering, electronics engineering or related field.
Experience in Project Management including
Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
Experience leading and developing a multidisciplinary team.
Experience in supplier management
Desired Skills:
Technical leadership experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience presenting to internal and external customers and suppliers.
Proven track record of building relationships, fostering collaboration and working cross-functionally with multidisciplinary teams.
Experience on F-16, F-22 or other fighter platforms
Experience in conflict resolution, proactive communication, and building collaborative relationships.
Excellent presentation skills and must be able to convey focused messages to internal senior leadership and external customers.
Ability to work with different engineering disciplines to derive and decompose requirements.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
