We are seeking a highly experienced Principal SME in Program Planning and Integration (PP&I) to drive excellence across our programs, with a focus on supporting the Aero initiative, APEX, which aims to drive continuous improvement and establish a Growth Mindset culture. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing solutions, collaborating with stakeholders, and analyzing and resolving planning and scheduling issues. Your expertise will help us achieve successful program outcomes, while also contributing to the success of Start Green, Stay Green Goals and APEX by leading and advocating for continuous improvement initiatives, driving change and efficiencies, and fostering a culture of growth and innovation.

This Principal level position provides planning/scheduling technical support, reporting to the Aero CART team PP&I Manager, which is central to the Aero Central PP&I Organization that supports a variety of platforms, programs and initiatives across Aero and the Enterprise, to include: Skunk Works, Integrated Fighter Group (IFG), Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) and Air Mobility and Maritime Missions (AMMM) Lines of Business, the Integrated Program Planning Council (IPPC) and IPP Center of Excellence (COE).

Summary of Key Duties
As a Principal PP&I SME for Aero, you will serve as a key expert between LOBs, BAs, IPPC, and the IPP COE. You will possess extensive knowledge in program planning, EVMS, and scheduling tools, (i.e. MS Project, Open Plan), as well as expertise with other tools that integrate with scheduling tools, such as Cobra and Milestones Professional. Your knowledge will also include software tool and process implementation, resource loaded schedules, schedule risk assessments, IMS Performance Metrics, and other advanced planning and scheduling techniques. Additionally, you will be familiar with Industry, Aero, and LM corporate planning policies, procedures, and best practices.

In this role, you will develop and implement solutions to complex planning and scheduling issues, using advanced analytical and problem-solving techniques. You will identify and mitigate risks, and make decisions on planning and scheduling approaches, considering program risks, opportunities, and trade-offs. As a liaison between Aeronautics Central Team and LOB Senior Planning SMEs, you will facilitate knowledge sharing and drive process improvements, and communicate planning and scheduling requirements and best practices to program management, engineering, and other stakeholders. You will work independently with minimal supervision to achieve program planning and scheduling excellence, enabling LOB programs to deliver successful outcomes.

***Must be a US Citizen. Must obtain a Secret Clearance as part of employment, but no clearance is required to start.
**This role may have occasional travel to suppliers or other facilities

Note: Employee will be able to telecommute. Employee must be located near a major LM Aero site.

Basic Qualifications:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Critical thinking and complex problem solving abilities
- Proficient at developing/maintaining complex Network Schedules including integrity checks, critical path analysis, and Schedule Risk Analysis
- Experience briefing Senior Leadership and customers
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) including Cost / Schedule Integration
- Experiences leading a team of direct reports and cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated influencing and relationship management skills
-Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance as part of employment
Desired Skills:
- Degree in Construction Management, Program Management, Business Administration
- Experience with networked schedules, integrity checks, and critical path methodology.
- Experience with Schedule Performance Management Techniques, e.g. Earned Value Management
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving abilities
- Previous experience with Deltek OpenPlan
- Excellent Communication and Organizational skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $131,500 - $231,840. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $151,200 - $262,085. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
