Description:
Join our Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment team as the Aeronautics Modifications, Upgrades & Overhauls (MUO) Quality Manager. This position will serve as the Quality & Mission Success (Q&MS) liaison between Enterprise Sustainment Quality Management in Fort Worth, Texas and Lockheed Martin (LM) Site Management for Modification and Retrofit operations at at multiple domestic and international locations. Additionally, this individual will act as primary Quality Assurance Interface with MUO Site Management, Partners, Customers, and Field Teams.
What You Will Be Doing
Responsibilities will include:
• Coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
• Resource allocation, work assignments and establishing/maintaining an effective business rhythm. Responsible for all aspects of quality for assigned area of responsibility.
• Communicates quality requirements, concerns, and expectations.
• Active participant in risk and opportunity management processes. Ensures cost commitments and financial responsibilities are met.
• Developing and implementing Quality Assurance plans, policies, and audit schedules with onsite personnel. Working directly with field teams for interpretation of LM specifications and processes.
• Providing oversight and verification for work performed by contracted Field Team.
• Performing periodic audits of Quality Processes; such as Ground operations, FOD and Tool Control, Control of Nonconforming material, Safety, Procedure compliance, calibration and other Quality processes.
• Training personnel on LM Quality Assurance systems (QADs, SQARs or AMS9000) for documenting non-conformances.
• Reviewing Modification Planning to ensure appropriate inspection points are incorporated. Participating in validation/verifications events as required.
• Coordinating with Fort Worth Q&MS personnel on quality issues and information flow of site activities and program issues.
• Must be a US Citizen. Must possess at minimum an Interim Secret Security Clearance and be able to obtain a Final Secret Security Clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:
The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance.
• Team leadership experience.
• Experience collaborating with multi-functional teams
• Experience working multiple aircraft platforms
• Experience with aircraft modification practices,
specifications, and inspection criteria.
• Experience with Quality Assurance Plans and policies.
• Experience with audits associated with AS9100 Quality Management System and DMCA-I-8210.1.
• Experience with the aircraft maintenance information systems.
Desired Skills:
The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the other candidates:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
• Experience with aircraft Engineering Drawing Systems, Quality Systems and Field Information systems.
• Experience in QADS / SQAR system or other electronic nonconformance reporting systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience leading geographically separated teams of employees.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledgeable of FOD and Tool Control processes and Ground operations.
• Proficient with documenting structural nonconformance(s) and interfacing with MRB personnel.
• Specific experience with modification completion and customer closure processes.
• Prior experience with development of field related Technical directives a plus.
• Knowledge of Senior Corrective Action Board Review Process or establishing Customer Concerns Working Group (CCWG) is desired.
• Green Belt certification or other Continuous Improvement experiences a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and without direct supervision and must have excellent communication teaming skills.
• Ability to interface with all levels of management, technical experts, and floor level personnel in a multiorganizational environment.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings/specifications and apply their intent for evaluating acceptance of quality products.
• Self-Starter; ability to multitask

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
