Description:
You will be the Supplier Quality Engineer - Integrator for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) team, which is responsible for ensuring the success of all suppliers on contract for assigned programs.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Supplier Quality Engineer - Integrator, you will be responsible for applying advanced quality engineering principles to all aspects of the supplier's work with Lockheed throughout the product lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the success of all suppliers on contract for assigned programs by promoting the SPM organization's involvement and collaborating with other departments.
- Performing technical evaluations, including contract reviews, supplier capability and capacity assessments, and manufacturing risk assessments.
- Leading cross-functional project teams to complete complex process improvement activities and engaging in product failure investigations and corrective/preventive action.
- Developing strategies, systems, and processes to improve efficiency, efficacy, ease of use, and sustainability of supplier success.
- Collaborating with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, customers, and others on quality-related issues to promote a sustainable quality culture.

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and critical thinker with experience in quality engineering and supplier performance management. You will have a strong understanding of advanced quality engineering principles and the ability to develop strategies, systems, and processes to improve efficiency and sustainability. You will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional project teams and collaborate with various stakeholders.
Further Information About This Opportunity
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Position requires domestic or international travel as needed to suppliers or various sites in support of Mission Success objectives (20-40%).
Marietta location Level 4: Will function as lead point of contact and coordinator for the ADP supplier performance organization for Marietta efforts.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Candidate’s background to include experience with Quality Assurance, product development and manufacturing processes.
• Must have a technical background and be able to understand complex engineering concepts preferably in the area of airframe, vehicle, and/or mission systems design, assembly, and production methodologies in order to support quality activities for those systems.
• Must have knowledge of ISO9001/AS9100 aerospace requirements.
• Experience working within supply chain management and/or contracts.
• Must work effectively with all levels of management, across departments including program management, engineering, supply chain, and customer personnel.
• Experienced with preventive/corrective action processes and root cause analysis.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
• Assertive, outgoing, and well-spoken, able to engage individuals and groups energetically and successfully lead projects, investigations, and culture change activities.
• Self-starter capable of identifying and working initiatives independently and confidently.
• Experience in determinant assembly and model based engineering
• Extensive technical knowledge of airframe, vehicle, and/or mission systems design, manufacturing, and/or sustainment.
• Metrics and process control analysis and improvement techniques.
• Experience developing metrics and using statistics for process control and improvement.
• Certified Greenbelt, Blackbelt, or ASQ Quality Engineer.
• Candidate should possess strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience leading cross functional engagements.
• Experience giving executive level briefings.
• Experience using change management methodologies to promote organizational culture change.
• A Secret/Top Secret clearance to be able to obtain specific program clearance as applicable to support ADP programs.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
