Job Responsibilities
Description:
You will be an IT&E Engineer supporting the Advanced Land Autonomous Platform (ALAP) program, specifically working on an Industrial Participation program under the F-35 Finland program. Our team is developing a LiDAR system, algorithms, and associated software and simulation environment for tree mapping, identification, and characterization, and you will play a key role in leading subsystem and system integration efforts.
What You Will Be Doing
As an IT&E Engineer, you will be responsible for leading subsystem and platform integration, coordinating with other team members, and overseeing test events and status. You will also be responsible for tracking and leading milestones for the integration effort, assisting in the flow down of requirements to testable hardware and software, and writing system description documentation.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading subsystem and platform integration
• Coordinating with other team members in development for test/evaluation
• Overseeing and coordinating test events and status
• Conducting and overseeing test events, understanding data collection and test results, and authoring test reports
• Tracking and leading milestones for the integration effort
• Assisting in the flow down of requirements to testable hardware and software
• Writing system description documentation and maintaining requirements documentation
• Building presentation material and chairing integration meetings
• Managing, reviewing, incorporating redlines, and finalizing all documentation required
• Developing and operating instrumentation
• Coordinating and performing risk-reduction opportunities

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) or equivalent professional experience
• Integration of a system on a mobile platform
• Experience working in a lab environment
• Basic understanding of mechanical drawings, electrical drawings, interfaces, cables and general test equipment (power supplies, power meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and function generators)
• Experience writing test plans and operating procedures
• Proven experience working directly with the customer and multiple disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Software etc.)
• Experience with requirements verification and associated documentation
• General data collection experience, reduction, analysis, system troubleshooting and performance verification
Desired Skills:
• Early development experience
• Optics and/or Electro-Optics system experience
• script development (ie C++, Matlab)
• Field test experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
