Description:Overview
You will be the ARISE M&S Engineering & Technology Manager, leading the transition of MFC Dallas contracts and IRADS to the ARISE M&S Work Product. Our team is responsible for developing and maturing a multi-faceted M&S environment, spanning performance, physical modeling, and operational analysis.
What You Will Be Doing
As the ARISE M&S Engineering & Technology Manager, you will partner with program leads to adopt the ARISE M&S Work Product, overseeing timeline and staffing needs. You will also manage a team of M&S/Systems engineers, providing technical coaching, mentoring, and career development guidance.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading a team in integrating and testing Core ARISE simulation models
* Verifying and validating Core ARISE models
* Conducting performance analysis and trade studies
* Developing scenarios and advocating for ARISE Analytics, HWIL, and Mission Software work products

Basic Qualifications:
Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
Demonstrate the ability to design a high-fidelity system simulation capable of predicting system performance.
Perform modeling and simulation tasks for Missile (6DOF) as well as supporting Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) simulations.
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships.
Perform trade studies and simulation analyses with the objective of enhancing and optimizing system performance capability.
Proficiency in C++, experience in MATLAB and Simulink.
Desired Skills:
Active U.S. DoD Secret Clearance
Advanced proficiency in C++
Experience operating in Linux environments
Experience with Agile development
Perform modeling and simulation tasks for Fire Control Systems (sensors – RF & IR)
Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and software version control such as Git
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

About
The Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) engineer at Lockheed Martin will have the opportunity to design, simulate and verify technologies such as missile autopilot, guidance algorithms, inertial target tracking, and Navigation algorithms using Kalman Filters for optimal estimation techniques. They will also have the opportunity to design, simulate and verify precision servo control and pointing algorithms for gimbaled seekers and other sensors as well as various actuators and mechanisms. Modelling and simulation of these systems is performed primarily in Matlab and C++.
