We are seeking an experienced Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer who will specialize in complex technical navigation solutions to join our team in sunny Grand Prairie, Texas!

What You Will Be Doing


This person will join a highly skilled team of systems engineering technologists and algorithm developers supporting various contracts and IRADs within Missiles

• Coordination with multiple IPTs (internal and external) on Navigation software and testing
• Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, or manufacturers to resolve complex hardware issues.
• Support lab and onsite testing and post test analysis of launcher performance,
• Performing launcher software verification and hardware integration tests in the MFOM Integration Facility (MIF) lab.

The candidate must have good communication skills and must be comfortable working in a collaborative environment.

Basic Qualifications:
Post Secondary STEM Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience

Must have Final Secret Clearance to be considered, therefore you must be a US Citizen.

Experience providing expertise to analyze launcher navigation performance.

Experience supporting preflight system performance assessment and post test verification analyses.

Knowledge in performing analyses of terrestrial navigation and navigation state error estimation.

Demonstrates strong math skills in the areas of linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and coordinate transformation.

Demonstrates mastery of MATLAB and C/C++ programming.
Desired Skills:
Masters Degree in a STEM discipline.

The preferred candidate has experience in weapon system and/or sensor modeling, both for the items to be modeled, and the synthetic modeled environments used to stimulate the simulated hardware.

The preferred candidate is able to work with subsystem and software engineers to integrate MATLAB models, C++ models, and actual tactical software into the simulations.

MFOM Integration Facility (MIF) lab experience is desired.

Launcher software verification experience is also a plus.

Experience with Embedded Software, RF/EO knowledge, and experience programming in FORTRAN is also a plus.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
