Description:Overview
You will be the Principle Research Engineer - Electronics Manufacturing for the Advanced Manufacturing Technologies organization. Our team is responsible for supporting all of Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control Production Operations, leading electrical engineering teams, and optimizing products for affordability, producibility, and lead-time reduction.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Principle Research Engineer - Electronics Manufacturing, you will be responsible for leading and consulting electrical/hardware engineering teams through all phases of the product life cycle, from conceptual development to production support. You will leverage your electrical engineering expertise to develop robust hardware architectures and solutions, and support the resolution of technical issues discovered during manufacture and test.

Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading electrical engineering teams through all phases of the product life cycle
* Developing robust hardware architectures and solutions to meet customer requirements
* Performing circuit and CCA design and analysis, FPGA/SoC designs/developments, and technical trade studies
* Supporting laboratory test and troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues discovered during manufacture and test
* Providing SME support for design, integration, manufacturing, and testing of hardware and subsystems for Electronic products

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree with 20+ OR a Master’s Degree and 18+ years of relevant experience in the electronics manufacturing industry
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience in hardware architecting, product development and support of complex DoD military electronics/avionics equipment
• Extensive experience with PWB, PCB, CCA, Flex Board, ASIC, or Cable & Harness Manufacturing
• Experience working with electronics consortiums such as IPC, DEC, or IEEE
• Experience with state-of-the-art electrical engineering development tools
• Understanding of complex electronics manufacturing and test methodologies
• Excellent problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability, with proven ability to research and apply electrical engineering principles and theories to solve electrical engineering problems.
Desired Skills:
• Active DOD Secret Clearance or higher
• Experience with LM programs, products, and processes
• Extensive experience with PWB, PCB, CCA, Flex Board, ASIC, AND Cable & Harness Manufacturing
• Demonstrated experience in Product/Factory Support
• Familiarity with design, analysis and manufacturing standards associated with complex multilayer rigid and rigid-flex CCAs
• Strong hands-on laboratory experience with instrumentation, equipment, and processes
• Technical leadership of electrical / hardware teams in executing engineering development efforts
• The ideal candidate will thrive in a learning environment that encourages leadership and technical growth.
• Knowledge of engineering development processes for aero/defense industry, including designing and testing to MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
