Description:
You will be a Systems Design & Requirements Engineer at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Orlando, FL, or Dallas, TX on a cross BA project developing a common sensor product line. This effort will result in a sensor deliverable to program, and with little to no modification, be adapted to future programs and products. Further, the system will continue development and refinement for future generations. The candidate will be expected support the maturation and delivery of the common sensors, working across IPTs inclusive of Software, Hardware design and analysis and across both ME, EE and Software disciplines, with a strong focus on RF sensor components, and algorithms for sensor processing. The ideal candidate will also assist in planning and coordination efforts across the product center and its adjacent programs.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Systems Design & Requirements Engineer, you will be responsible for:
• Developing a system architecture using MBSE techniques
• Developing models for current and future system designs
• Developing system and system element architectures, designs, and interface definitions
• Supporting internal and external design reviews
• Performing system architecture design using SysML based tools
• Performing trade studies and systems analyses to bound requirements and finalize architecture.
• Synthesizing design characteristics into an implementable system architecture
• Working with the requirements management team to ensure accuracy of the subsystem element model
• Coordinating with the team for modeling and simulation scenarios, and predicted performance
• Supporting system timelines and working with software and hardware teams
• Documenting system design and implementation for various use case scenarios
• Conducting model-based performance simulations to determine the impact of requirements changes on system performance and behaviors

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. An Interim Secret Clearance is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
• Demonstrated ability in assisting cross-functional engineering activities in support of missile or sensor products, including but not limited to trade studies, system analyses to bound requirements and finalize the architecture, configuration control of the technical baseline, verification planning and execution, affordability considerations, and risk and opportunity management.
• Knowledge in the following areas is strongly desired: RF systems design, development and test.
• Experience required includes DoD tactical system development program experience, customer interface, requirements derivation/allocation.
• Must be a self starter, and able to communicate well both formally and informally across disciplines.
• Must be able to obtain a secret clearance, interim secret required prior to start. This role is expected to be full time on site, with need for access to classified systems.
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge in common systems incorporated in RF sensors, such as air to ground, or anti-air missiles, and fire control sensors.
• Knowledge in common components, like antennas, embedded processors, thermal solutions, cybersecurity solutions, tactical data links, and similar.
• Able to work in a rapid development environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent communication skills with team members, direct reports, and stakeholders, both oral, and written
• Experience in Systems Engineering input for Proposals and development of basis of estimates (BOEs)
• Experience in Cost Account Management and Earned Value Management.
• Experience in MBSE tools and implementation
• Experience with product line management
• Full time on-site preferred.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
