The Engineering & Technology organization is a highly dynamic and growing organization that plays a vital role in providing mission-critical solutions to our customers. Come be a part of the development of the new Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW). Join the Lockheed Martin team and be a part of the company that has developed and flown more hypersonic vehicles than any other U.S. Company and has decades of hypersonic development and flight test experience from government contracts as well as internal investments in research and development projects. This position is for a software engineer to support the LRHW software organization. You will help code, develop, and innovate technical solutions for soldier utilized ground systems.

This position requires strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. This position will interface with software developers, test engineers, system engineers, program management, quality assurance engineers, and customer representatives.

Specific duties will include:
- Support as Systems Engineer of record for a defined product
- Organize and plan the development activities for the product
- Support test development and integration with vendor development
- Support earned value management of supplier
- Test document and planning development
- Coordinate supplier development alongside tactical configuration changes

A successful candidate for this role will typically have a Bachelors degree with 5+ years of related professional work experience

Basic Qualifications:
- Experience as project/product Owner
- Experience with system requirement development or design
- Experience in earned value management
- Eligibility and willingness to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance; US Citizenship required
Desired Skills:
- Communicating project progress and status to stakeholders
- Coordinate supplier development alongside tactical configuration changes
- Defining and prioritizing product requirements
- Ensuring that the solution meets the needs of stakeholders and customers
- Active or Current DoD Secret or higher security clearance with investigation in the last 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
