Job Responsibilities
Description:We have an immediate opportunity for a Material Handler Specialist in our Receiving Department at our Building 100 King of Prussia, PA plant. Lockheed Martin currently owns two facilities in King of Prussia which comprise over a million square feet. Our Building 100 plant has a lot of history going back six decades and the employees who work here are involved in some of our nation's most mission-critical intelligence solutions, optimizing satellite constellations, processing data through its entire life cycle and developing reliable infrastructure for information dissemination across a global network.
The individual who is hired into this role will have the opportunity to work closely with internal program customers on a variety of challenges that ensures we process the receipt of the materials ordered for those programs and make them available to our customers when they need it. Our business is growing and we anticipate our growth to continue.
The facility has a cafeteria that provides a variety of tasty, healthy, wholesome meals for breakfast and lunch. The facility also has a gym with cardio machines and weight training equipment with locker rooms and showers.
The facility is located in the heart of King of Prussia just across the street from the King of Prussia Mall, the second largest mall in America with easy access to some of the biggest names in retail shopping and great restaurants surrounding the area. Overall, it is a great environment in which to work with dedicated, talented employees.
The individual selected for this position will be responsible for processing the receipt of materials at our Building 100 plant located in King of Prussia, Pa. and will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic, team environment for the largest defense contractor in the U.S.
Your responsibilities will include:
• loading and unloading materials to/from trucks, onto or from pallets, trays, and racks by hand.
• conveying materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, electric dollies or other devices.
• opening containers using hand tools, counting and weighing materials, inspecting materials to ensure they are free of damage, and ensuring the physical count matches the container count on the freight bill
• recording the receipt transaction in our SAP receiving system.
• working closely with our engineers, material planners, and buyers to work through status of receipts and discrepant receipts.
• performing a combination of tasks under specific direction which may include inventory management and shipping tasks, in addition to receiving, which provides the opportunity to be cross trained into these other functional areas providing variety, job satisfaction, and opportunity for growth in your position.

Basic Qualifications:
• Related experience in receiving and inventory management and/or warehousing/shipping experience.
• Good organization and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 - 75 lbs.).
• Must have a valid U.S. based driver's license.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. No clearance required prior to start.
Desired Skills:
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university.
• Forklift certified.
• Experienced and skilled at using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a 9/80 work schedule during which time an employee works 80 hours in 9 days. In week one, an employee works 9 hours each day Monday through Thursday and 8 hours on that Friday. The following week two, the employee works 9 hours each day Monday through Thursday and has Friday off that week. This pattern repeats every two weeks.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
