Logistics Representative Sr - Advanced Programs - Level 3

This exciting position is with our historic Skunk Works program and will be based out of Palmdale, CA. Skunk Works is an integral part of Lockheed's Aeronautics business area responsible for advanced systems development including conceptual design and rapid prototyping of clean sheet solutions and improvements and derivatives to existing systems. The ideal skunk is an agile, multi-faceted teammate who loves to solve our customer's most difficult challenges. Some of our unclassified projects include the U-2, SR-71 Blackbird, F-22 Raptor, F-117 Nighthawk, and the F-35 Lightening II.

What You Will Be Doing

As a logistics technician, this person will be an integral member of the technical interface team, supporting the on-site Customer, resolving issues arising from operations and / or maintenance activities. Coordinate the Life Cycle Sustainment Management by providing logistical support to the program. This includes scheduling shipments or pick-ups with functional departments and completing required documentation for CONUS and OCONUS shipments. Monitor and status material movement to include providing the proper documentation to complete property transfers to various entities. Coordinate and manage incoming material, assist with purchase requests, and address issues when a discrepancy occurs. Work effectively with key stakeholders and internal functional areas in taking direction, answering questions, and handling issues that need resolution.

The candidate will ensure the most efficient and effective processes are utilized in handling customer material. Analyze demand history, and inventory related to operational requirements with all functional organizations, performing analyses, preparing reports to validate supply obligations, and monitoring expenditures. Proactive in planning, scheduling, and executing tasks required to support operational activities. Maintain a complete understanding and application of business principals, concepts, practices, and standards. Work with inventory management systems. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of cataloging process and logistics terminology. Work with Microsoft software programs and systems.

Identify unique operational problems that require technical, procedural, or quality assurance actions to resolve. Provide training, as requested, to customer personnel. Candidate must have comprehensive logistics background / experience. Must be able to work with and interact with the customer as well as program engineers.

The selected candidate must be able to work and communicate well, both orally and written, in a team environment as this position involves significant and continued interface with customer personnel at all levels. Manage and track multiple engineering and logistics support activities, providing periodic status to customer and program management.

The selected candidate must be willing to travel to and work in austere remote locations and accept assignment to locations for which selected, to support customer requirements.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport, accept customer furnished quarters and comply with mobility requirements such as chemical warfare training and receive applicable vaccinations, as well as pass an overseas physical.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located in a facility that requires special access. In addition, the selected candidate will be subjected to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The candidate must agree to and successfully pass a polygraph examination.
A current Top Secret clearance is required.
Basic Qualifications:
• Customer interface experience in a field environment experience.
• Experience with and proficient in Automated Logistics management System ALMS (or an inventory management system)
• Experience with and having a Logistics Background
• Experience with supply chain management
• Active Top Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products to include briefing and presentation abilities
• Knowledge and understanding of procedures pertaining to aircraft maintenance, logistics and modification processes is desired
• Extensive experience in developing forecasts related to equipment failure trends
• Aircraft loadmaster
• Experience with computer skills using Microsoft Office (with emphasis on MS Access or similar tools) and miscellaneous mainframe applications such as SQL, etc
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Top Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
