Within our Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) business area, the Operations Analysis (OA) team plays a critical role in shaping our product strategy and supporting our warfighters’ evolving needs. We work directly with internal stakeholders and external customers to evaluate and inform design decisions, operational concepts, and investment priorities through analytical rigor and simulation-based insights.
The Work
In this role, you’ll lead high-impact studies and shape key decisions across programs and future concept developments. Your analysis will inform everything from system design to operational effectiveness in mission-level contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead study teams to perform modeling, simulation, and analysis of military systems.
Formulate and execute analysis and study plans.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define objectives and refine study direction.
Conduct research on military systems performance, operations, and tactics.
Model operational scenarios and perform digital simulation trades.
Analyze simulation results and quantify Measures-of-Effectiveness (MOEs).
Translate technical findings into actionable insights for senior decision-makers.
Contribute to cross-business area activities such as digital simulations, virtual reconstructions, and wargames.
Represent OA as a technical leader across programs, captures, and technology planning efforts.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret / SCI security clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, or other degree a with a related discipline or application of data analysis to technical solutions, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
- Project management, leadership, & Modeling & Simulation (M&S) experience.
- Knowledge of military operations, tactics, & organization
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) TS/SCI Clearance.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Advanced Framework for Simulation Integration and Modeling (AFSIM), ExtendSim, Command Professional Edition (PE) and/or Cameo
- Advanced Technical Degree
- Battle Management, Command and Control (C2), and/or related Military experience
- Experience with C++, Python & Git
- Expertise in computer-based analytical tools & office applications (data analysis)
- Knowledge of major combat simulations & models, analytical methods, sensors & weapon systems and/or cross-domain operational effects
- Experience with working in & leading analysis teams
- Familiarity with Agile practices & execution

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
