We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Project Engineer to lead and manage C130 new development and modernization efforts. You will function as part of the AMMM Project Engineering team responsible for delivering complex system development products and solutions.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Principal Project Engineer Manager your responsibilities will include:
• Be the technical leader solving new development opportunities or modernized solutions of an integrated and complex system/technical development from concept, through design, implementation, test, manufacturing/deployment and sustainment.
• Ensure alignment with Engineering and Technology strategy, business development, program architect, technical feasibility.
• Drive planning, technical performance measures, trade studies, risk evaluations, across all Engineering Teams to meet contract cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
Lead and manage engineering teams to develop and refine technical solutions.
• Act as single voice and point of contact to program management and senior leadership.
• Provide timely and accurate insight to key program impacts or opportunities to the Program Manager.
• Develop innovative and scalable design approaches to maintain agility and flexibility.
• Complete all Earned Value Management assigned duties to include work authorization requests, estimate at complete reviews, schedule status, variance reporting, comprehensive estimates at complete, and proposal tasks.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic) with 12 years of experience developing aircraft upgrades or modifications
Experience in aircraft design, analysis, and/or aircraft systems or structure
Experience in leading a cross functional organization as a Project Engineer or Technical Manager in the development of a new and/or modified development program
Desired Skills:
Has C-130 Technical domain knowledge like Software, Avionics, Aircraft or Systems
Demonstrated understanding of Program planning and management of complex program issues
Experienced at reporting program progress to senior leadership
Possess strong inter-personal skills to work with a diverse capabilities team
Demonstrated proficiency in developing proposals and execution of programs
Ability to author papers and presentation material
Expert ability to provide team oversight of Technical Supplier and Sub-Contract Management
Demonstrated communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases
Demonstrated ability to coordinate technical planning across a broad range of stakeholders

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
