You will be the 1st Shift Aircraft Support Systems Engineer for the AMMM program. This critical position, located in Marietta, Georgia, provides engineering assistance and guidance on flight line assigned C-130J aircraft.

What You Will Be Doing:
As the Aircraft Support Systems Engineer you will be responsible for:
• Actively engaging and assisting technicians in all aircraft troubleshooting efforts (Systems, electrical, and avionics issues) on flight line assigned aircraft during flights, engine runs and functional test checkout activities.
• Providing support to company and customer flight debriefs to ask or answer any questions regarding flight squawks.
• Attending production ops meetings and answering engineering questions or requests for additional engineering assistance on flight line issues.
• Assisting with functional tests on new or existing aircraft versions.
• Collecting and reporting of detailed information on system failures for the responsible engineer to aid in resolution or product improvement.
• Documenting system anomalies on IPRs.
• Coordinating with flight line production if engineering requires aircraft testing or access.

You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering / Technical discipline or 12+ years of relevant experience
• Avionics maintenance experience for flight test and/or production
• Experience with C-130's
Desired Skills:
• Experience with C-130 aircraft production and flight test support or C-130 avionics at the missions system level or higher
• Experience troubleshooting avionics at the system level or higher
• Mechanical or propulsion systems design, development, test, or manufacturing experience.
• Strong communication skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
