THE WORK
Qualified candidate will be assigned as cradle to grave technical project lead for Aegis, BMD, USAF, and other efforts as they pertain to the development and creation of technical manuals. The selected candidate will lead the front-end analysis, identifying and reviewing all engineering source material for impact to technical manuals and output a formal customer bibliography. This document will reflect and provide traceability to mutually agreed to requirements and scope between LM and the government customer, as well serve as decisive direction to the technical writers. The project lead will lead production kickoff meetings with the writers to explain the bibliography and highlight the technical change, as well as present the bibliography to the customer during a formal meeting. During the production phase the project lead will continue to provide technical guidance and respond to questions from the writing team. Once the technical manuals are submitted from the production team for internal technical review, the project lead will conduct engineering reviews and ensure that all requirements as identified by the bibliography have been incorporated. The Engineering Planner will support Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Global Sustainment Moorestown Technical Publications in planning, development, and delivery of Technical Manuals (TMs) for U.S. Department of Defense programs, such as U.S. Aegis and U.S. Air Force programs. The Engineering Planner will perform technical tasks such as evaluating and interpreting complex engineering data. This person will perform Engineering Reviews (ERs) to ensure that TMs have been updated accurately and thoroughly with all source data and changes prior to delivery, as well as ensuring their compliance with Security Classification and Releasability Guidelines. Document deficiencies in a clear, concise manner. Respond to internal, customer and government agencies’ comments and research responses IAW applicable source documentation. Support development of Combat System Operational Sequencing System (CSOSS)
Overall Combat System Operability Test (OCSOT)
Integrated Combat Systems Tests (ICSTs). This person will review Engineering Change Documentation, technical data packages, and software data to identify list of TMs required to support a change to existing TMs or development of new TMs, as well as support the development of Proposals (Rough Order of Magnitudes (ROMs) and Basis of Estimates (BOEs), as required.

Basic Qualifications:
US Aegis experience
Previous handling of classified material
Experience with US Navy and/or other military personnel
Strong technical background, 5+ years
Experience using or developing CSOSS
Experience using or developing OCSOT & ICSTs
Attention to detail
Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office suite (especially Word, Excel, and Access) and Adobe PDF
Experience evaluating complex technical data and interpret changes required to TM content.
Experience performing ERs to ensure that all changes and source data identified have been incorporated accurately and thoroughly in TMs before delivery
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Candidate must follow various complex processes.
Able to clearly and concisely communicate in writing and in presentations
Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving skills
Must be able to work in a diverse, fast-paced team corporate environment and be able to perform multiple tasks/diverse set of responsibilities simultaneously, with short deadlines, and prioritize based on direction or deadline provided.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,800 - $130,180. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
