You will be the Future Air Weapons Systems and Requirements Analysis Director for the Air Dominance, Strike Weapons and Sensors Advanced Programs.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Future Air Weapons Systems and Requirements Analysis Director, you will be responsible for shaping strategies, identifying and capturing opportunities in a competitive market to help support warfighters and grow the business in the airpower weapons and sensors portfolio. This position will reside in the Air Weapons and Sensors Team in Orlando, FL. Your responsibilities will include:
• Determining what future weapons programs and technologies the company should pursue and developing and implementing strategies to shepherd weapons concepts into actual programs and warfighter capabilities.
• Supporting Advanced and Special Programs and early research and development efforts across DoD.
• Leading and participating on a small team of exceptional thought leaders and operational subject matter expert to engage program offices, headquarters and OSD decision authorities and requirements organizations to identify emerging support development of new system-of-system capabilities.
• Collaborating across program, engineering, finance and other stakeholders, which is essential to develop capability maturation strategies, discern complex customer landscapes, and prioritize competing investments relative to risks and opportunities.
• Mentoring, guiding, and advising internally and externally
• Leading cross-functional teams in coordination with customer communities to find win-win solutions that seek to balance sound operational warfighting perspectives with sound business practices.
• Supporting product development team to ensure clear understanding of customers’ requirements, priorities and advanced employment of weapon systems.
• Developing and providing thought leadership and strategic guidance to prioritize the most effective use of limited company resources in addressing DoD operational needs.
• Advising and providing sound business focused recommendations to LM senior leadership.
• Participating in the development and implementation of new products and services, spiral developments, and new business pursuits.

Basic Qualifications:
• Former warfighter with an airpower background and broad operational experiences.
• Working knowledge of US military acquisition process, requirements development and budgetary process.
• Demonstrated a career of increasing responsibility with exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent executive communication skills across written and verbal mediums that can be persuasive with senior industry, military and DoD civilian leaders.
• Extensive experience building strong and productive
relationships with key individuals in the US military.
• Recognized ability to guide, mentor and lead team members from multiple functional areas.
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret Security / SCI Clearance and must have an interim secret clearance prior to start. Must be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
• US Air Force weapon school / Top Gun graduate with extensive background in development of tactics and
employment of air to air and air to surface weapon systems.
• Demonstrated understanding of business processes associated with shepherding initial conceptual ideas into eventual delivered warfighter capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust, positively influence customers and capture new business
• Existing relationships with relevant DoD officials.
• Advanced degree in a technical or business discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 18 or more years of professional experience; or 15 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Top Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
