We are experiencing growth and we are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer in Orlando, FL.

You will be the Mechanical Design Engineer for the RF Product Center Antenna Integrated Product Team (IPT). Our team drives the design, development, and production support of high temperature antenna hardware that powers mission critical sensor systems.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Mechanical Design Engineer you will lead hardware design activities, partner with antenna suppliers, and provide production support for a sensor system demonstration. You will collaborate across IPTs, execute design trade studies, and coordinate developmental test (DVT) activities, ensuring our antenna solutions meet performance, cost, and schedule goals.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Lead antenna hardware design within the Antenna IPT, including high temperature antenna development and multiple supplier concepts.
• Serve as the primary engineering liaison for antenna suppliers, managing sub contract technical support and issue resolution.
• Provide on site production support for an existing sensor system during its demonstration phase.
• Design and coordinate thermal and structural DVT fixtures, working closely with Systems I&T and RF engineering.
• Conduct design trade studies evaluating cost, weight, structural and thermal benefits.
• Apply ASME Y14.5 GD&T, tolerance analysis, and hardware fabrication/assembly techniques to ensure manufacturability.
• Utilize CREO and Windchill PLM for 3 D modeling, change management, and documentation.
• Develop and execute cross functional action plans to solve technical challenges.
• Support occasional travel to supplier sites, test facilities, or customer locations as needed.

Further Information About This Opportunity:
This position is in Orlando, FL.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have an active Secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant industry.
- Proficient in Computer Aided Design (CREO or Solid Works).
- Experience with GD&T
- Active secret security clearance.
Desired Skills:
- Leadership experience, leading tasking and decision making over small or large teams.
- Experience working with Antennas
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
