THE WORK
- Work side-by-side with assembly team to assist in training skills, help resolve issues, and quickly demonstrate proper assembly techniques.
- Act as a liaison between training area and manufacturing engineering by identifying process gaps, skill gaps, tooling and training needs.
- Assemble system-level mechanical and electrical assembly on single-bay racks and consoles as well as assembly and integration of ground and flight simulators.
- Assist with driving correct actions for non-conformance trends.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations

WHO YOU ARE
You are an expert in rack building and console integration, adept at mechanical fit, high‑density cable routing, and system verification. You act as the trusted guide on the production floor, instantly stepping in to support, teach, and resolve issues as they arise. Your strong grasp of drawings, routing standards, and safety practices enables you to convey best practices in a clear, concise manner to colleagues of all experience levels. You work autonomously, maintain rigorous quality documentation, and act as the connective link between the training organization and manufacturing engineering.

Basic Qualifications:
• +5 years of hands‑on single-bay rack & console assembly experience in aerospace/defense or comparable environment.
• +1 year of documented on‑the‑floor training/mentoring experience.
• Proven ability to read and interpret work instructions, drawings, wiring diagrams, work instructions, schematics, and BOMs.
• Proficiency in single-bay rack & console manufacturing tasks (mechanical, cable routing).
Desired Skills:
• Strong written & verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin's quality control procedures and guidelines
• Experience working with Lockheed Martin or similar companies in the aerospace or defense industry
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or comparable continuous‑improvement training.
• Certification in mechanical and/or electronics assembly or a related field.
• Knowledgeable in J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
