WHAT WE'RE DOING

The Naval Helicopter Program (NHP) team is driving mission readiness by supporting critical aircraft production and fleet sustainment efforts. At the core of this work is our Mission Production Lab (MPL) and associated Ship Lab, where we integrate, test, and maintain systems that directly support aircraft production hardware and field returns.

THE WORK
This position is for a lead lab engineer (Lab Manager) on the Naval Helicopter Program (NHP). The lead will have responsibility for the
Mission Production Lab (MPL) and assist with the associated Ship Lab. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the labs are configured properly and operational with very little down time. The lab manager must ensure labs can support grooming of aircraft production hardware along with field returns. Part of the lab management responsibilities include securing funding, writing basis of estimates (BOE's), managing capital equipment request's (CER's), and managing overhead to support the lab. Asset management, metrology, and documentation control are critical for this production lab. Other responsibilities include
trouble shooting and solutioning lab issues when they occur, upgrading the lab to align with program requirements and providing technical assistance to the lab test team. Interfacing with technicians, the program office, security, system administrators, and test engineers is a must and a candidate with strong leadership skills will be required.

• Experience in lab management or systems engineering.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with asset management, metrology, and documentation control.
• Proven ability to manage funding, overhead, BOEs, and CERs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface across diverse teams.
• Leadership skills to guide technicians and engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Basic Qualifications:
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD
government clearance at the Secret level.

Desired Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering/technical
discipline, with 2 or more years of professional
experience; or 5 years of professional experience
with a related Associates degree; or 8 years of
professional experience with High School
Degree.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
and able to communicate to program managers,
technicians, engineers and managers.
• Capable of working independently with minimal
supervision.
• Demonstrated proficiencies in Earned Value,
Schedule, Cost and Risk Management
Techniques.
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
or an associate’s degree.
• Experience in leading cross-disciplinary teams
• Demonstrated ability to lead change and
implement process improvements that drive
efficiency and affordability.
• Experience with purchasing parts and the P2P

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $80,600 - $139,840. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
