The Sikorsky Aerostructures Product Center is responsible for the manufacture, procurement, and assembly of helicopter airframe structures and plays a critical role in supporting our customer deliveries.
The Work
As the Deputy General Manager, you will oversee manufacturing operations for our Troy, AL facility where detail parts, sub-assemblies, major assemblies and major component joining activities are conducted in support of MH-60R and MH-60T airframe structures.
You will:
• Lead and manage the performance of salary and hourly manufacturing employees responsible for the manufacture and assembly of Aerostructures components
• Develop and implement effective process improvements to achieve on-time, on-budget, defect-free delivery of airframe structures and associated components
• Coordinate daily requirements for Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Management, Quality, and Material Logistics support
• Establish, plan, and monitor the execution of Aerostructures Operations, including direct and indirect cost management
• Monitor and control key customer deliverables to all customer organizations
• Support all product and process improvements, including Digital Transformation initiatives
• Develop methods, metrics, and organizational goals to achieve on-time, on-budget, defect-free delivery of airframe structures and associated components
• Coach and mentor employees in key positions to ensure objectives are being met and ideas are being fostered throughout the shop
• Ensure a positive employee relations position is maintained, promoting teamwork and cooperation
• Identify facility/capital improvements needs and support completion of projects
• Lead all aspects of the Product Center's business analytics, strategy, and transformation efforts
• Work with the Aerostructures management team to drive quality and performance improvements

Basic Qualifications:
• 10+ years of management and supervisory experience with 5-7 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably Aerospace, related disciplines or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience will be considered.
Desired Skills:
• B.S./BA in an engineering, operations, or a technical preferred OR MS / MBA with an Operations concentration (preferred)
• Aerospace & Defense Industry experience (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Six Sigma, Black Belt or Green Belt (preferred)
• The candidate should also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and must have demonstrated ability to work effectively with associates at all levels throughout the organization.
• Strong understanding of Collective Bargaining and leading a represented workforce
• Proven track record of interpersonal skills focused on team building
• Excellent analytical skills / thinking
• Excellent presentation skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
