Oh, the Places You Could Go!

Thanks to Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Enhanced Employee Referral Program (EERP), Program Manager Scott Clark and his family recently took a trip of a lifetime to Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks.

“We’ve been planning for this trip for about 10 years,” Scott said before departing.

There were a few factors to be considered: making sure his youngest children would be old enough to remember the experience, waiting for COVID restrictions to lift and, of course, having the resources—money and vacation time—to make it possible.

The RMS EERP definitely had a hand in making their perfectly timed adventure happen this summer, Scott said.

Scott’s multiple critical skills referrals ultimately led to three individuals being hired and landing Scott with cash and paid time off (PTO) bonus awards.

As a veteran deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, previous jobs in Germany and Arizona, and an ambassador for STEM programs—plus his work with the RMS cyber team in Hanover, Maryland—Scott said he’s had a lot of exposure to people and specialty areas that have helped him identify referral candidates.

For Scott, the extra money and PTO helped make his priceless family trip possible this summer, but the purpose behind his critical skill referrals goes even deeper: they also help bring in exceptional employees to support our customers’ important missions.
