What You Will Be Doing
In this role, the Senior RF Engineer will support the development and production of complex multi-function modules used in challenging high reliability applications in all phase of the product life cycle.
The engineer will have the opportunity to design and develop circuit, modules, and sub-system from initial concept through prototyping and full-rate production.
The engineer will work on complex technical problems and provide solutions which are innovative and ingenious.
The engineer is expect to work independently to uncover and resolve issues associate with the development and implementation of operational products.
Design Radio Frequency systems and circuitry used in high frequency and microwave applications, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and frequency synthesizers. Responsible for hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction, and test. Prepares test RF hardware to verify performance characteristics including simulation and modeling. Provides inputs to Product Development for formal documentation and supports manufacturing during deliverable assembly and test phase. In addition, develop RF System/Subsystem Architectures may consist of: antennas, transmitters, receivers, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, RF conversion elements and transmission line equipment. Perform link analysis and optimization with simulation and hardware validation, including effects of propagation medium and possible interference sources. Develop and allocate RF system and subsystem functional and performance requirements. Identifies and track RF technical performance measurement (TPMs). Performa RF system/subsystem/component trade studies and CAIV analysis. Support Life cycle Cots, reliability, availability, maintainability analysis.
The engineer will collaborate with other engineering disciple including hardware engineers, system engineers, and circuit design engineers as well as technician and manufacturing support personnel.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with minimum 5 years of professional experience; or minimum 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority
Experience with RF design is required.
Experience with Schematic Capture, RF Block Diagrams Reviews, and Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA)
Extensive experience with troubleshooting design and resolve integration issues is required.
Experience with the use of microwave test equipment and microwave simulation tools is required.
Excellence communication and presentation skills are required.
Candidate must be eligible to obtain a secret clearance and be able to obtain at least an interim secret level security clearance before starting the position.
Desired Skills:
A Masters Degree in electrical engineering or closed related technical field is desired.
Significant relevant experience in the defense electronics industry is desired.
Expertise with RF subsystem and hardware including antennas, transmitters, receivers, microwave component, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, advance electronic modules, amplifiers, mixers, switches, frequency generation circuits and/or frequency conversion circuit is desired.
Experience with 3D electromagnetic simulations tools is desired.
Experiences with microelectronics assembly techniques is desired.
Expertise with technical documentation such as specification, schematic diagram and test data is strongly desired.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $101,000 - $178,135. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $116,200 - $201,365. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
