Job Responsibilities
Description:You will be the Receiving Inspector Group Leader for our Quality team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality and conformity of all incoming materials, assemblies, and manufactured parts to standards, specifications, and processing requirements.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Receiving Inspector Group Leader, you will be responsible for performing various inspections to support all phases of assembly and manufacturing, including inspecting subcontracted and purchased parts. You will play a critical role in determining methods, sequences, and providing training for other personnel as assigned, while maintaining a thorough knowledge of all relevant paperwork and documentation.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Performing mechanical inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), Optical, and other technical inspection equipment
• Maintaining inspection equipment and performing scheduled upkeep
• Inspecting parts for proper identification and dimensions using various measuring equipment and instruments
• Coordinating and directing work assignments of Receiving Inspectors under Quality management direction
• Instructing and assisting inspectors with correct methods and procedures
• Participating in prioritization of work and leading/assisting in training new personnel
• Maintaining records of results and participating in internal and external audits as required
• Ensuring a safe and orderly work area, and performing miscellaneous duties as assigned

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years, formal education in electricity/electronics, mechanical, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to use basic measuring instruments, equipment and devices such as micrometers, gauges, and calipers to check various assemblies/components.
• Must be able to read blueprint, work instructions and interpret engineering drawing requirements.
• Basic computing literacy is required.
• Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, with both internal and external customers.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members, customers and suppliers as well as achieve goals and objectives.
• Previous inspection experience.
• Experience inspecting electrical components and/or printed wiring boards.
• Experience using a CMM and a height gage.
• Must be able to support a flexible work schedule supporting overtime, off-Fridays, weekends, and/or alternate shifts to support product schedules as required.
• Must have IPC certification, or ability to obtain certification.
• Must be able to pass visual acuity and color perception exam.
• Must be able to obtain a Government Secret security clearance.
• US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
• Previous Receiving Inspection work experience; including familiarity with inspection of a wide range of items from electrical components to mechanical sub-assemblies.
• Experience leading a team.
• Experience programming inspection equipment (CMM, Optical, etc.)
• Experience reviewing test and/or inspection data and reports.
• IPC-A-600 and 610 certifications
• Demonstrated positive, problem-solving approach and attitude
• Knowledge of MIL standards.
• Demonstrated computer skills areas of LM tools including SAP, Apriso, Command Media, PAL, Windchill and P2P.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
