You will be the Software Engineer Sr for the CORE team which is responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting common simulation software infrastructure products for the Aeronautics Simulation and System Integration Labs (SSL) department.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Software Engineer Sr you will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, testing, and deploying simulation software products that enable our customers to run high‑fidelity hardware‑in‑the‑loop and man‑in‑the‑loop simulations.

• Collaborating with a cross‑site team to plan and implement new capabilities.


• Designing and developing infrastructure tools using C++, Java, and object‑oriented techniques.


• Integrating, testing, and supporting deployed CORE software in Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop and Man‑in‑the‑Loop simulation systems.


• Providing technical support and troubleshooting for deployed simulation software.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance to start.

This position is in Fort Worth, TX Discover Fort Worth.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or above in a STEM discipline. (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering preferred)

• C++ or Java programming experience

• Experience with Linux operating systems
Desired Skills:
• Experience with containerized development environments (i.e. Docker, Kubernetes, Podman)

• Experience using Object-Oriented Design techniques

• Knowledge of Redhat Package Manager (RPM)

• Experience in Python programming

• Experience with JIRA

• Experience with Gitlab

• Familiarity with simulation systems (Hardware-in-the-Loop or Man-in-the-Loop)

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
