The Challenge:
Crave a challenge that is also rewarding? This is an operational support role to an active fighter unit. You will be responsible for the security and integrity of systems that keep our jets flying.
It takes more than steel, advanced electronics and engine thrust to make the F-35 Lightning II, the world's fifth generation fighter, take flight. It is the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) that gives F-35 Lightning II operators the ability to plan, to maintain, to plan and sustain its systems over the life of the air vehicle. ALIS provides the IT backbone and capabilities to support current and future Warfighters across the U.S. and allied military services.
Special Requirements:
This Position will support the F35 Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) Program. The successful candidate will serve as an ALIS Administrator leader responsible for all facets of the F-35 ALIS IT system. You will be the primary point of contract for the JASDF ALIS Administration Team responsible to ensure their success as well as the success of your team.
This is an expat position located at Nyutabaru Air Base on the island of Kyushu, Japan and is about a 30 minute drive from beautiful Miyazaki, a resort city. There are beautiful beaches, a championship golf course, and lush palm trees as well as great food and plenty to see and do.
The assignment is a minimum of two years with the possibility of extending beyond that.
The incumbent must be a good communicator with strong leadership skills, a self-starter, have the ability to make timely decisions, and be willing to learn all facets of the ALIS System. This position will be part of the larger Interim Contractor Support (ICS) Administrator infrastructure at an existing F-35 location.
You must:
• Be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Program clearance required for program access
• Be willing and able to travel for military deployments/detachments (ship and/or shore) for extended periods of time dependent upon operational needs.
• Be capable of working various shift hours to include weekends to support customer mission requirements.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Acting as the team's interface with the site-lead and the ALIS program office
• Leadership tasks including but not limited to status reporting, team scheduling, team performance assessments, team training, talent planning, succession planning, and technical leadership
• Carry out and sustain system-wide backups, disaster recovery, and database support (status checks, Oracle critical patch updates)
• Conduct data transfers between system (internal and external), provide user access to data, keep servers operational, configure assets to support user needs, and troubleshoot assets.
• Support testing, debugging, integration and analysis of database tools
• Interacting daily with users and acting as a Subject Matter Expert for the ALIS product suite
• Maintaining smooth, secure operation of multi-user computer systems through coordination across all administrative disciplines

Basic Qualifications:
•The Candidate must have at least 2 years experience working as an F-35 ALIS Administrator with Systems Administration, Database Administration, Security Administration, Network Administration, and/or Mission Planning Administration Experience.
•The candidate must hold either a Secret security clearance with investigation within the last 6 years (or be enrolled in the Continuous Verification Program)
•The candidate must hold a current DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, or CCNA)
•The Candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills
Desired Skills:
•Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
•For this position, its highly recommended that the candidate have at least 2 years experience working as an F-35 Autonomous Logistics Information System (ALIS) Administrator
•Previously residency in a non-US location where English is not the primary language spoken
•Japanese language skills are preferred, but not mandatory
• A working knowledge of Oracle SQL.
• A working knowledge of Active Directory.
•A background working on a Fighter Program with familiarity of Mission Planning and Operations.
•Prior experience working with the Japan Air Self Defense force or Japan Maritime Self Defense Force.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
