This IT Apprenticeship Program (ITAP), position offers an incredible journey into the Apprentice Pipeline at Lockheed Martin. Selected candidates will begin their apprenticeship with comprehensive training and aligned work assignments in various Full Stack Engineering disciplines. These disciplines encompass development, cloud architecture, automated testing, networking, storage, cyber security, and many more. Not only will you learn and grow as an Apprentice, but you will also have the chance to make meaningful contributions to Lockheed Martin's success.
As an Apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and professionals in a collaborative environment that encourages learning and development. You will develop skills in cutting-edge technologies, learn to navigate complex topics , and contribute to Lockheed Martin's diverse portfolio of projects.
This position can be fully remote for Puerto Rico based individuals.
Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering) – OR – equivalent combination of education and or relevant experience
-Strong interest in Full Stack Engineering disciplines, such as:
-Software development
-Cloud architecture
-Automated testing
-Networking and storage
-Artificial Intelligence
-Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and adapt to complex technical environments
-Effective communication and collaboration skills, especially in team-based settings
-Ability to work remotely and manage tasks independently (Note: This position is remote-eligible for Puerto Rico-based individuals)
-U.S. citizenship required for access to certain systems and projects
Desired Skills:
-Familiarity with one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, or similar)
-Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
-Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
-Hands-on experience with networking fundamentals, storage systems, or virtual environments
-Ability to work with automated testing tools or CI/CD pipelines
-Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn through hands-on collaboration
-Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub, GitLab)
-Familiarity with foundational concepts in artificial intelligence, along with demonstrated interest in AI-related technologies and experience working with or studying basic -AI frameworks
-Curiosity about emerging technologies and how they apply to real-world challenges
-Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively in a team setting
-Prior internship, bootcamp, or project-based experience in a technical domain is a plus

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $46,500 - $77,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
