THE WORK

We are seeking an Aerostructure Supervisor to lead a team of hourly bargaining unit employees responsible for building major assemblies and full aircraft structures. In this role, you will ensure the team meets blueprint specifications and delivers high-quality components on time and within budget. Your leadership will be key to driving operational excellence, promoting a culture of safety, and supporting the career development of your team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Leading daily operations while meeting safety, quality, cost, and schedule goals

Managing shift transitions to ensure continuity of work

Approving and maintaining accurate timekeeping in SAP

Attending and contributing to daily operational and planning meetings

Coaching and developing employees to support skill growth and future job readiness

Driving continuous improvement initiatives while upholding standard work and ESH compliance

Supporting company ethics, values, and compliance expectations

Managing both direct and indirect budgets effectively

Note: This position may require working on 2nd or 3rd shift based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications:
Able to manage multiple priorities and be flexible

Strong influencing skills

Must be able to lead a team and manage/resolve employee conflict

Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for use at all levels of the organization

Experience working in an aerospace, automotive, or industrial manufacturing setting

Strong understanding of blueprint reading, assembly processes, and quality standards

Demonstrated ability to manage teams and achieve results across safety, quality, cost, and schedule metrics

Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office and SAP or other enterprise systems

Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift as needed
Desired Skills:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical or management field

Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or Six Sigma principles

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate diverse teams

Experience supporting unionized/hourly workforce

Familiarity with Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) requirements in a production setting

Ability to analyze and solve problems under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving change initiatives

Demonstrated success in coaching and developing employees for career growth

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
